Community and Partners

Our community includes people across the Church, the housing sector, and others with an interest in meeting housing need. We are part of and supported by the Church of England, but open to anyone who shares our values. Our goal is to meet housing need, especially for the poorest and most marginalised, and we do this through mobilising the Church to work in partnership with others.

What does the community give me?

As a community we want to make meeting housing need straightforward, effective and sustainable. In practical terms this means making use of advice and guidance, helping improve it, finding ways to do better.

We don’t just want more housing, we want housing that supports flourishing communities where everyone can participate.

Working in partnership

Tackling any aspect in isolation - from church or charity law, through to environmental sustainability or accessible housing - is very challenging, but together we can make it work. We also work with and influence the wider housing sector and government to ensure that there are ready solutions and practical policies that support our shared vision.

If you’re part of an organisation with an interest in good, affordable housing then we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a line through the form below and we’d love to have a coffee - virtual or in person,

Our Current Partners

There are a huge number of organisations that have already contributed (and if you’re one of them and would like your logo here, drop us a line).

We’d like to give a special thank you to these two organisations:

  • The Diocese of Gloucester who have generously supported the setting up of the Church Housing Foundation both financially and through hard work, and for their work on affordable housing in their diocese that has been truly inspirational.

  • Housing Justice for their incredible generosity and wisdom in contributing to the resources that are available, and in particular to their Faith in Affordable Housing team who we work closely with, and who are helping Churches up and down the country.
